Hello Class,

My name is Agnesa Freelove and I am taking this class to get an authorization to teach middle school science. I currently have a single subject math credential. I have taught high school math for three years and once my kids were born I took time off to raise my family.  Now that my kids are in school I am excited to get back into the classroom. I was lucky enough to have my kids accepted into a charter school. It is a great environment and over the last three years I have grown to love the school and faculty. A couple months ago I found out that one of the science teachers was going to be leaving and that is when I began my mission to add a science authorization to my credentials so I could be qualified to teach her classes. A week later I took the CSET and here I am now enrolled in this class.

Growing up I was a gymnast for many years and I always enjoyed coaching the little kids before my workouts which later progressed into tutoring when I was in high school.  In college I was a director of a program that tutored middle school kids in preparation for high school.  Once I had graduated college, teaching seemed like a natural career path for me.  I have always felt comfortable in the classroom and get very excited about math and science when I am teaching.
I have a degree in Psychology from UCLA.  I became an intern teacher at Pasadena Unified in 2008 and received my credentials in 2010.  I am currently a substitute teacher at my local school district and applying to get a full time teaching position for 2019-2020 school year.
